HolidayFest Board announced that Dr. James Allred, founder of WELLSKIN, John Ellis, GM of Toyota North, and Scot Robinson, Partner of Olympian Construction are named as the Chairs of the18th Annual Gentlemen’s Committee for HolidayFest 2022. In A Christmas Carol, Charles Dickens wrote: “The word of a gentleman is as good as his bond; and sometimes better” These words are true today with these chairmen who definitely are gentlemen in all they do for our county.

James Allred, MD, MS, FAAD, is a dermatologist at Wellskin Dermatology in Franklin and Glasgow, Kentucky, White House and Gallatin, Tennessee. Originally born and raised in the western United States, Dr. Allred has called southern Kentucky his home since 2015. During that time, Dr. Allred has lectured at national conferences, published academic articles, and founded multiple technology startups dedicated to improving patient care. He also was a founding member of the education committee for Advancing Innovation in Dermatology, a nonprofit dedicated to improving patient care through novel technologies and techniques.

Dr. Allred is married with five beautiful children and has two large dogs. He gets the greatest enjoyment in life from them, especially when introducing them to his first love of the outdoors. One annual highlight for him is where he is able to take his family every year to the Colorado Rockies, where he leads the first and only continuing medical education hike that teaches dermatologists from around the country about how the environment (i.e. plants, sunlight, insect bites, etc) can negatively affect the skin. He says he played poker while in college and is honored to be one of the Chairs for this year.

John Ellis relocated from his hometown of Dallas, TX to the Nashville area to take over operations of Nashville Toyota North. In the past 35 years, he has built a career in the automotive industry and held the position as managing partner and general manager at several of the top volume dealerships in his hometown. John looks at the automotive business as a “people business” where the customer always comes first. Customer satisfaction and strong business ethics is the most important part of operating a dealership where both the customers and employees’ benefit.

John is dedicated to his faith, family and to his spouse Molly, of 26 years. They have three boys, the two oldest are working in their chosen careers and the third will graduate from law school in 2024. His family is also big dog lovers and have been parents to many dogs over the years including their current Boxer, Stella. Being an avid outdoorsman, John enjoys spending time with nature and uses this as an opportunity to spend time with his boys and other family members on various trips when time permits.
